Ramadan Traditions

Every year for Ramadan, I prepare a food for my family called pepperoni rolls. This is important to me, as I am Appalachian. Pepperoni rolls are the WV state food, and they are found in some states throughout Appalachia. Since I am living outside of my country and outside of my culture, it is really comforting to have something that reminds me of home. Everything here is my husband’s culture so it’s nice that I can have something representative of my background during the most important month of the year. Plus, pepperoni rolls are DELICIOUS, so all my friends and family are excited when I cook them.

The video above gives more details about pepperoni rolls, and my personal family tradition. I hope you enjoy watching it!
